Salary Cap

December 18th 2009 04:45
Yes or No

Do we need a salary cap Major League Baseball I will give you reasons for yes and no and you can decide. First the reasons for yes

Yes-
You got teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, Mets, Cubs, and Dodgers that can just buy any player they can possibly want in free agency while other teams struggle to get anyone.

Ticket Prices are so high right now its because of the players salaries.

NO-
Those 4 teams give hell of a lot of money to the smaller market clubs via revenue sharing and the luxury tax and the other owners just pocket the money.

In the last 15 years there have been 10 different teams to win the World Series only the NFL has more. (12)

You can win without a lot of money look at the Twins who constantly win the AL Central as long as your smart with the money you have you can win.

So there are the reasons for Yes and No I say MLB does not need a salary cap but they need to raise the luxury tax up and put in a minimum spending amount so teams like the Pirates or Royals put back into the organization instead of just pocketing the money.

R.I.P Chris Henry

December 17th 2009 23:19
He was born on May 17, 1983 in Belle Chasse, Louisiana to Carolyn Lee and David Henry. He went to the University of West Virginia and got drafted by th Cincinnati Bengals in the 2005 NFL Draft in the 3rd Round with the 83rd pick. He had a lot of character issues in which hall of famer wide receiver talked to him and told him to clean up his act. He pledged to never get in trouble again. he came back after serving his 4 game suspension and finished the 2008 season pretty good. He passed away on December 17, 2009 from life-threatening injuries from falling out of a back of a pick-up truck his fiancee was driving in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Nike sucks

July 11th 2009 21:47
All the talk I have been hearing for the last few days is that a college sophmore by the name of Jordan Crawford dunked on Lebron James at a pickup game at Lebron James Basketball camp. Why don't you just release the video and give the kid some props for dunking over one of the best players in the league today. Must people will only watch a few time with a few ooos and aaas. It's not that big of deal it is only a dunked I mean we have all seen Lebron get dunked on before by Courtney Lee in the playoffs. But not releasing this vid will probably cause this dunk to be of epic proportions and possibly a two handed jam by Crawford on James will turn into a 360 behind the back ball throw in the air dunk by the kid. So just release the video and put all the rumors and speculation to rest.

Carlos Boozer

June 30th 2009 23:41
I was just watching ESPNNews and this just in Carlos Boozer will not opt of his contract and will become a free agent next when his contract expires so maybe is isn't all out the money or may be he figured out that no other team will prbably offer him more then 12.6 million doolars for this year. HAHA Pistons fans for thinkings about getting Carlos Boozer and clearing up space to get him. OH well you can still get 2nd rate player Paul Millsap is the Jazz don't resign him. That's what you get when you trade away players for money hoping to get a big name player in free agency but then he doesn't opt out. HAHA

Shaq's new nickname

June 25th 2009 13:46
So I turned on ESPNNews this morning when I woke up and I came to find out that the Cavalier's traded to get Shaq for Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic. Now that Shaq will be playing in Cleveland I just wonder what his new nickname will be. We seen in the past the Big Diesel, The Big Cactus, and etc. So maybe now that he is playing for a city that hasn't won anything in like 40 years. His nickname could be the Big Stinky for how Cleveland teams are in real life or especially their stadiums or how about the Big Tail Rider for him always needing to ride a Superstar's coattails to win a NBA Ring ala Kobe, D-Wade, and probably now Lebron.

I don't know about you but I will be tuning in just to hopefully see Shaq fail ust like he did in Orlando and Phoniex and oh yeah Shaq the Magic may have not won the series but they did do something you could do your'e first year in the playoffs. They won a game and didn't get swept.

Steroid Users in Baseball

June 18th 2009 06:26
Now that we found out that Sammy Sosa is the newest member of the 2003 104 players that failed a drug test along with Alex Rodriguez I can't wait to see another name released or leaked out yeah it will hurt MLB in the short run but it will help in the long run for everybody to know who used and who didn't use. And maybe will help with Sosa's and Rodriguez's chances to get in the Hall of Fame if we fnd out that that all the big stars used roids.
