Video Game News 5-27-10

May 27th 2010 13:42
There are rumors circulating around the 2k Sports makers of NBA 2k is trying to get MJ to be on the cover of NBA 2k11 and on the 90's Legend team in the game meaning we will be able to play as him. If this is true this will have been the first time that a current NBA star is not on the cover of the game. It will also have been the first time a NBA Team owner endorses a NBA video game. I think this will be great for NBA 2k11 and just another blow to NBA Live 11.

NBA Live 11 has been renamed NBA Elite 11 and is rumored that it will have real-time physics kinda like what Backbreaker has but probably not to that extent. This will be excellent because I have been waiting for the day when NBA Elite gets the shot stick and no canned animations. Can't wait to see how this will impact rebounding and defense. Hopefully Elite will have the on the ball defense button thing that 2k10 has sorry don't now whats it's called.

Project Natal for Xbox 360 is supposedly rumor to be priced at $150 higher then the announced price of Sony's Move hopefully we find out more at E3 in June.

1. Pau Gasol

It might surprise some to note that I don't consider Kobe Bryant to even be the best Laker on his own team so far this postseason, but all-around production matters, and in spite of Kobe Bryant's brilliant scoring exploits, Pau Gasol's in-his-prime versatility vaults him to the top of this list.

He is good I'm not saying different but number 1 I have to disagree he has to wait until Fish or Kobe or Artest get him the ball, He is a soft player, not a good defender, and is just a decent rebounder.

2. Rajon Rondo

Rondo earns extra points for his defensive dominance, he's allowed some big quarters against Mo Williams and Jameer Nelson, but by and large he's been a pest. Shutting his man down, always looking for a passing lane to mess with.

Is this for real no one has played better then Rondo in the playoffs he's has to guard tougher players then Gasol, He also has a chance to get a triple-double on most nights. So rating Gasol higher then Rondo what are you smoking

3. Kobe Bryant

After a slow (for him) start, Kobe has come on like Kobe over the last couple of weeks, seeing his seven-game streak of 30-point contests end with only a 13-assist night (what a slacker) in Game 2 against the Suns.

Rating Kobe at number 3 seems a little high for me yes he's been playing great But I believe his teammates are a lot of better then people say they are.

4. LeBron James

In turning in over 29 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and 3.5 combined steals and blocks per contest over 11 games, LBJ easily has the best stats of anyone who has played in the 2010 postseason.

He played great and his teammates were suckish he would have been higher on the list if he had advanced further into the playoffs.

5. Jason Richardson

A bit of a surprise, but when you manage to shoot 52 percent from the field and nearly 51 percent from behind the three-point line after 12 playoff games, this sort of fluke has to be recognized.

J-Rich is da man the MSU product he has helped the Suns into the conference finals against LA. But can Phoneix score enough on LA defense it will take the effort of more people then just Rich. Amare will have to keep stepping up, Nash will have to play better and Rich just continue what your doing.

6. Dirk Nowitzki

Had the Mavericks played a little longer, with Dirk no doubt approximating his averages of 26.7 points per game on 55 percent shooting, 8.2 rebounds and just 1.7 turnovers a contest, Nowitzki would probably be duking it out with Pau and Rondo at the top.

Even with Dirk playing great his Mavs couldn't advance past the 1st round yet once again.

7. Deron Williams

To be sure, Williams faded a bit against the Lakers in the second round. The pairing with Derek Fisher, the supposedly one-sided matchup that could have put Los Angeles on its heels, never seemed to work well for DW.

8. Dwyane Wade

Wade's stats are sublime — 33.2 points on 56 percent shooting, with 12.4 combined rebounds/assists and 3.2 combined blocks/steals — but he had to work in only five games, was given carte blanche in the Miami "offense," and he turned it over 5.2 times a game.

Wade turned the ball over way to many times to beat the Celtics and well didn't and thats why e's so low on the lis

9. Jameer Nelson

A little bundle of awesome, Nelson's 19 points and five assists might not seem like much until you realize that he's turned it over on just 7.7 percent of the possessions he's used up. That's an astonishing rate for anyone, much less a lead guard. Even if the lead guard was guarded by Mike Bibby(notes) for four games.

10. Dwight Howard

Howard's had his issues — the entire first round, Game 1 of the conference finals — but overall he's still found a way to pile up the impact. Pile it up!

He's averaging 16.6 points on 63 percent shooting, 3.6 blocks in only 33 minutes per game, and 11 rebounds. Now, if only he could do something about those four turnovers a game. Or Orlando's 0-2 deficit to Boston.

Future College Indian Players

May 25th 2010 12:16
Brothers Sim and Tanveer Bhullar look like promising college stars much the Lopez brothers. These teen behemoths could be the 1st Indian players to make it big in the NBA.

Sim who is only 17 is already 7"4 and weighs in at 280 pounds just completed his sophomore season at the Kiski School in Saltsburg, PA. Averaging 16 pts, 14 rebs, and 8 blks a game with 3-point range and a strong passer who can run the floor and finish. Kinda like a Dirk Nowitzki type but is bigger and eventually stronger then Dirk.

His brother Tanveer who is 14 and is 7"2 and weighs 285 pounds is in his freshman season and averages 12 pts, 11 rebs, and 5 blks a game. He also possesses a nice 15 yo 17 foot jumper and has quick feet and soft hands. NBA Player comparison Al Horford

There coach Daryl Freedman said about Sim "You don't find players that agile much often".

West Virginia has already offered Sim a scholarship. Duke plans to visit him.

Duquesne, Florida State, Kentucky, LSU, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Texas, UMass, USC and Washington State have expressed interest in both brothers.

The brothers probably want to play together so WV and Duke are out unless they offer both a scholarship. And they are looking for a strong academic which can develop big men and is close to Toronto.

I don't know about you but I would love for both of them to come to my Orlando Magic. When they graduated or leave college

R.I.P Chris Henry

December 17th 2009 23:19
He was born on May 17, 1983 in Belle Chasse, Louisiana to Carolyn Lee and David Henry. He went to the University of West Virginia and got drafted by th Cincinnati Bengals in the 2005 NFL Draft in the 3rd Round with the 83rd pick. He had a lot of character issues in which hall of famer wide receiver talked to him and told him to clean up his act. He pledged to never get in trouble again. he came back after serving his 4 game suspension and finished the 2008 season pretty good. He passed away on December 17, 2009 from life-threatening injuries from falling out of a back of a pick-up truck his fiancee was driving in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Just another person tooken away at such an early age

Nike sucks

July 11th 2009 21:47
All the talk I have been hearing for the last few days is that a college sophmore by the name of Jordan Crawford dunked on Lebron James at a pickup game at Lebron James Basketball camp. Why don't you just release the video and give the kid some props for dunking over one of the best players in the league today. Must people will only watch a few time with a few ooos and aaas. It's not that big of deal it is only a dunked I mean we have all seen Lebron get dunked on before by Courtney Lee in the playoffs. But not releasing this vid will probably cause this dunk to be of epic proportions and possibly a two handed jam by Crawford on James will turn into a 360 behind the back ball throw in the air dunk by the kid. So just release the video and put all the rumors and speculation to rest.
