Halftime thoughts...
-Billup's injury looks pretty rough, though not a long term concern as I see it. I don’t see him returning however.
- I like how the team withstood the onslaught of the Magic and avoided getting down by 20 plus.
- Afflalo played well in there, but Maxiell and McDyess have to contribute this next half. So far they have 0 points, 3 boards and no blocks.
-Prince and Sheed’s play will be the difference this half. They need to stay away from the jumper and post up and drive to the rack. God knows Rip will shoot enough jumpers.
-Turkoglu needs to quit shooting, because sooner or later he’s bound to hit a few.
- Barkley is a smart dude, but he annoys me when he talks and talks and talks, rambling on, repeating the same sentence over and over.
- Kenny Smith is much less confusing to listen to.
- My prediction for the 2nd half is this… Magic will hold off the Pistons and win by 7. No Billups= no comeback.
